The Datatel Scholarship

Florida College Student of the Year Award
If you’re a Florida college student who is financially self-reliant, makes excellent grades, and is actively involved in your college and community, you have a chance at winning a share of nearly $60,000 in scholarships and prizes. Talbots Women’s Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is available to women who have earned a high school diploma or GED before September 1994. Five $10,000 scholarships and fifty $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. The Robert G. and Gail F. Knight Scholarship Foundation
Each scholarship is a one-time award of either $500 or $1,000. Criteria: 3.0 GPA or above is required. Applicant must also have a history of school involvement such as activities, sports, and or community service. Past or current employment may also be included. Applications will be judged 40% academics, 40% activities and service, 20% essay. Applications may be downloaded from their website at www.bobknightphoto.com.
Florida Police Corps. Scholarships
Available to juniors or seniors in college or after graduation. Participants can receive up to $7,500 per academic year. Participants agree to successfully complete a baccalaureate degree, successfully complete the Florida Police Corps training academy (24 weeks of training at the Northeast Criminal Justice Training Center in Jacksonville, FL) and work for one of the participating police or sheriff’s departments for a minimum of four years. The selection process includes a written examination, oral interview, physical fitness assessment, medical examination, background investigations, psychological examination and a polygraph. George A. Nielsen Public Investor Scholarship
$2,500 - $5,000 scholarship available for undergraduate or graduate students of public administration, finance, business administration or a related field who plan to pursue a career in state or local government.
Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship
$3,500 scholarship is available for undergraduate accounting students who are preparing for a career in state or local government finance.
United Negro College Fund (UNCF)
The UNCF provides scholarship/internship opportunities to minority students - African Americans, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans. The Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship
$5,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student of public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration (with a specific focus on government or nonprofit management).

The Bailey Family Foundation, Inc.
$4000 scholarship available to residents of Hillsborough, Polk, or Pinellas counties with a GPA of 2.5 who have financial need. Go online at www.bailey-family.org for more details and application.
ThanksUSA.org
The nonprofit organization ThanksUSA invites all children and spouses of military personnel to apply for one of nearly 1,000 scholarships of up to $5,000 each for college, vocational and technical schools.
